CLAE will ensure that health professionals, people living with epilepsy and their care partners, governments and the public nationwide have the educational resources and advocacy tools needed to understand, prevent, diagnose and treat epilepsy.
CLAE will achieve this by identifying needs, setting standards and advocating for access to care and treatments as well as facilitating research. We aim to promote national awareness by working closely with our partners in the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, Epilepsy Canada, amongst others.
Our mission and values are aligned with the International Leagues Against Epilepsy Strategy 2030.
As a chapter of the ILAE-North America region, CLAE takes inspiration and shares many of the values of our partner organizations.
