The CLAE Scientific Committee is pleased to host the 2018 Scientific Meeting in beautiful St. John's. Our Keynote Speaker is ________.

CLAE REGISTRATION

The CLAE Scientific Meeting brings together participants from across Canada and abroad. It provides an opportunity to network with colleagues and exchange ideas while gaining up-to-date knowledge on emerging basic and clinical research developments in epilepsy and key management issues in the field.

The formal program runs Friday through Sunday and consists of CLAE plenary sessions, poster preview and viewing sessions. It will be an opportunity to review the academic strengths of our colleagues and continue future collaboration in education and research.

PROGRAM

The draft program is available here.

The CLAE Scientific Committee has organized an excellent program for the meeting. One main theme will include cognitive, psychiatric and psychosocial issues important in epilepsy. Other themes will include different approaches to challenging cases in epilepsy surgery, utilization of epilepsy surgery, personalized therapy of epilepsy, mechanisms underlying SUDEP, diagnostic imaging in epilepsy, infantile spasms, women and epilepsy, and parietal lobe epilepsy.

Based on the success of the short courses that were offered for the first time at the 2016 meeting, we will include two short courses. One course will focus on pharmacology of anti-seizure drugs and the other on neuropathology. These courses will be of widespread interest to all CLAE members. We will also hold platform presentations from the four top-ranked trainee abstracts.

MEETING OBJECTIVES

The main objectives of the meeting are to:

 WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
