Call for Nominations - Now Closed
We would like to thank the following Directors for their exceptional work on the CLAE Board of Directors for the 2017 - 2019 term:
On behalf of the CLAE Nominations Committee, we are accepting nominations for all three positions for the 2018-2020 term of the CLAE Board of Directors.
Given CLAE’s role as a significant contributor to the worldwide advancement of knowledge in epilepsy, these are important positions for our national society. This is an opportunity for you to shape the future of epilepsy awareness and research in Canada. Our professional organization which serves health care professionals, researchers and others dedicated to epilepsy, offers annual awards, coordinates an annual congress, and is involved in government advocacy for epilepsy care and research. If you are committed to CLAE’s vision, we welcome your interest!
Junior Member Representative shall be an Active member of CLAE living in Canada. He or she shall be elected from residents in Canadian neurology or neurosurgery training programs or post-graduate researchers who work in the field of epilepsy. This junior member shall sit on the Board of Directors of Society and has the right to vote.
The Treasurer shall be an Active member of CLAE living in Canada. He or she shall have the custody of the corporate funds and securities and shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the Society and shall deposit all moneys and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Society and in such depositories as may be designated by the Board of Directors from time to time. He or she shall disburse the funds of the Society as may be ordered by the Board, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements, and shall render to the President and Directors at the regular meeting of the Board, or whenever they may require it, an account of all his or her transactions as Treasurer and of the financial position of the Society. He or she shall also perform such other duties as may from time to time be determined by the Board.
The President-Elect shall be an Active member of CLAE living in Canada. He or she shall, in the absence or disability of the President, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President and shall perform such other duties as shall from time to time be imposed upon him or her by the Board. Any committee may call upon the President-elect in an advisory capacity or may draft him or her as a member of the committee to break a deadlock, if one occurs.
